Energy Commission Schedules Hearing,
Tour of Proposed Vernon City Power Plant
Sacramento - The California Energy Commission has scheduled a hearing and site tour for members of the public and others interested in learning about a 134-megawatt, natural
gas-fired, combined-cycle electric generating facility proposed for construction and operation in Los Angeles County.
Set for construction on the site of Vernon City's existing Station A power generating facility, the Malburg Generating Station would cover 3.4 acres of the entire 5.9-acre Station A site. The location is bordered on the north and west by the City of Los Angeles and is within an industrial land use area.
