TUESDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2002
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2002
MONDAY, OCTOBER 21, 2002
- and only if necessary -

Evidentiary hearings are held to establish the factual record necessary to reach a decision in this case. This is accomplished by taking oral, written, or documentary evidence from the parties. Formal evidentiary hearings are more structured than Committee conferences or staff workshops.
The East Altamont Energy Center, proposed by East Altamont Energy Center LLC, is a
1,100-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined cycle facility. It would be built on a 174-acre parcel located approximately 1 mile west of the San Joaquin County line and 1 mile southeast of the Contra Costa County line.
Members of the public are encouraged to participate and will have the opportunity to comment and ask clarifying questions on any of the subjects. For more information on how to participate, contact the Energy Commission's Public Adviser, Roberta Mendonca, at (916) 654-4489, toll free at (800) 822-6228, or by e-mail at [firstname.lastname@example.org].
