Energy Commission staff will conduct an air quality and cooling workshop to discuss the proposed Palomar Energy Project as follows:
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2002

The purpose of the workshop is to discuss a revised mitigation proposal and to address issues relating to the use of reclaimed water in wet cooling towers and alternative cooling options.
The Palomar Energy Project, proposed by Sempra Energy Resources, would be a
500-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined cycle facility located on a 20-acre site within the Escondido Research and Technology Center industrial park.
Members of the public will have the opportunity to comment and ask questions during the workshop.
