Business Meeting Item Added for Consideration
on November 20th

An additional item has been added to the agenda of the California Energy Commission's regular November 20, 2002 Business Meeting.

What:	California Government codes allow items to be added to the Business Meeting agenda with 48 hours notice if there exists a need to take immediate action and the need for the action came to the attention of the Energy Commission after the regular 10-day notice has been issued. 18. CONSIDERATION OF ORDER INSTITUTING EMERGENCY RULEMAKING ON APPLIANCES. The Energy Commission will consider instituting an emergency rulemaking proceeding to consider changes to certain of the Commission's appliance efficiency regulations (title 20, California Code of Regulations, sections §§ 1601 - 1608) that were adopted on February 6, 2002, that are scheduled to go into effect on November 27, 2002, and that have been challenged in Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute v.
