The Committee overseeing the Application for Certification for the SMUD Cosumnes power plant project will conduct a project status hearing as follows:

The hearing will provide the Committee with an opportunity to review the following: the status of the proceeding, the timeliness and completeness of Applicant and data submissions, and the schedule for the remainder of the Application for Certification proceeding.

The Cosumnes Power Plant, sponsored by Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), would be a 1,000-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined-cycle power plant. The proposed location is near the former Rancho Seco Nuclear Plant, 25 miles southeast of the City of Sacramento, in Sacramento County.

Members of the public and other interested agencies are invited to participate and provide comments.
