If your publication, radio or television station offers a calendar of community events, you may want to include news of the following hearings.
The Committee overseeing the Application for Certification for the proposed Palomar Energy Project will hold evidentiary hearings as follows:
MONDAY, APRIL 28, 2003
1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (Public comment)
- and, if necessary -
TUESDAY, APRIL, 29, 2003
9 a.m. - 12 noon
California Center for the Arts
Conference Center, Salon #1
340 North Escondido Blvd.
Evidentiary hearings are held to establish the factual record necessary to reach a decision in this case. This is accomplished by taking oral, written, or documentary evidence from the parties. Formal evidentiary hearings are more structured than Committee conferences or Staff workshops.
The Palomar Energy Project, proposed by Sempra Energy Resources, would be a 546-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined-cycle facility located on a 20-acre site within the Escondido Research and Technology Center industrial park.
Members of the public and other interested agencies are invited to participate and provide comments. For information about how to participate, contact Roberta Mendonca, the Commission's Public Adviser, toll free in California at (800) 822-6228, or by email at:
