The city of Vernon is seeking approval to build the 134-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined-cycle Malburg Generating Station. The power plant would provide electricity to customers within the city and elsewhere in the Southland. The new $153-million facility would be located at the Station A site in Vernon, where power has been produced since 1933.
Members of the public and other interested agencies are invited to participate and provide comments.
