If your publication, radio, or television station offers a calendar of community events, you may want to include news of the following workshop.
The California Energy Commission staff will conduct a data response and issue resolution workshop on the proposed Modesto Irrigation District Electric Generating Station on:
FRIDAY, JUNE 13, 2003
9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Modesto Irrigation District Headquarters

This workshop will provide an opportunity to review the Applicant's responses to Data Requests issued by the Commission staff and to work toward resolving potential issues. The areas to be reviewed include air quality, biological resources, cultural, traffic, soils, and water.
The Modesto Irrigation District proposes to construct and operate a 95-megawatt, simple-cycle, natural gas-fired facility planned for a 12-acre site in Ripon, California, in San Joaquin County. The project was admitted under the California Energy Commission's Small Power Plant Exemption process.
Members of the public and other interested agencies are invited to participate and provide comments. Those who wish further information about how to participate should contact Roberta Mendonca, the Commission's Public Adviser, at (916) 654-4489, toll free in California at (800) 822-6228, or by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
