This workshop will provide the opportunity to discuss the Preliminary Staff Assessment issued on May 21, 2003. The discussion will include staff's technical evaluation of the project, additional information from the applicant, and information still needed to complete the Final Staff Assessment.
The Walnut Energy Center project, proposed by the Turlock Irrigation District, would be a 250-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined-cycle power plant constructed on an 18-acre site in an industrially zoned area, near the intersection of West Main Street and Washington Road within the City of Turlock in Stanislaus County.
Members of the public and other interested agencies are invited to participate and provide comments.
