The Committee overseeing the Application for Certification for the proposed Morro Bay Modernization & Replacement Power Plant Project will hold a public conference to discuss the Presiding Member's Proposed Decision on:

Duke Energy Morro Bay, LLC, a direct subsidiary of Duke Energy North America, is proposing to replace the existing Morro Bay Units 1, 2, 3, and 4 with two new 600-megawatt, combined-cycle, natural gas-fired units. The new units would be located north of the current power plant site and would produce a total of 1,200 megawatts.
The Inland Empire Energy Center is proposed by Inland Energy Center LLC, a direct subsidiary of Calpine.The project would include a 670-megawatt, natural gas-fired, combined-cycle power plant to be located in Riverside County, between the cities of Perris and Hemet, near Romoland.
