The Committee overseeing the Application
for Certification for the proposed Salton Sea Unit 6
Geothermal Power Project will hold a prehearing conference
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2003

This conference will provide the Committee
an opportunity to identify areas of agreement and dispute,
assess readiness, and discuss procedures to prepare
for evidentiary hearings.
The Salton Sea Unit #6 Project, proposed
by CE Obsidian Energy, would be a 185-megawatt geothermal
power plant. The facility would be built on an 80-acre
parcel located six miles northwest of Calipatria, within
the unincorporated area of Imperial County.
Members of the public and other interested
agencies are invited to participate and provide comments.
