If your publication, radio or television station offers a calendar of community events, you may want to include news of the following hearing and conference.
The Committee overseeing the Application for Certification for the proposed Tesla Power Plant Project will hold an evidentiary hearing, along with a public conference to discuss the Presiding Member's Proposed Decision for the project, on:
THURSDAY, APRIL 8, 2004
Evidentiary Hearing Begins at 11 a.m.
Proposed Decision Conference Begins at 6 p.m.
Tracy Community Center
300 East 10th Street
The purpose of the evidentiary hearing is to reopen the record to receive specific evidence requested by the Committee in the areas of air quality, public health, water resources, socioeconomics, fire protection and biological resources. Evidentiary hearings are held to establish the factual record necessary to reach a decision in this case. This is accomplished by taking oral, written, or documentary evidence from the parties. Formal evidentiary hearings are more structured than Committee conferences or Staff workshops.
During the evening conference, members of the public and other interested agencies are invited to provide comments on the proposed decision for the Tesla Power Plant Project.
