The staff of the California Energy Commission will hold a workshop on the Draft Initial Study of the Application for Small Power Plant Exemption for the Riverside Energy Resource Center on:

The Energy Commission staff will receive comments and questions on the Draft Initial Study, gather additional information and work through final issues in preparation for the Final Initial Study to be completed in late July 2004.
The City of Riverside Public Utilities proposes to build and operate a 96-megawatt, simple-cycle, natural gas-fired, peaking power plant. The proposed 12-acre site is located next to the city's wastewater treatment plant, from which the power plant would use reclaimed water for cooling.
