If your publication, radio or television station offers a calendar of community events, you may want to include news of the following workshop.
The staff of the California Energy Commission will conduct an issue resolution workshop for the proposed Roseville Energy Park project on:
WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2004
Beginning at 1:00 p.m.
California Energy Commission
4th Floor South Conference Room
1516 Ninth Street
This workshop will provide the staff of the Energy Commission an opportunity to discuss and resolve the outstanding issues related to traffic safety, visual and biological resources.
The Roseville Energy Park, as proposed by the city of Roseville's municipal utility, Roseville Electric, would be a natural gas-fired, combined-cycle power plant that would generate 120 megawatts, with the ability to peak fire to 160 megawatts when the summertime demand for electricity is the highest.
Members of the public and other interested agencies are invited to participate and provide comments. Those who wish further information about how to participate should contact the Commission's Public Adviser, Margret J. Kim, at (916) 654-4489, toll free in California at (800) 822-6228, or by email at:
