November 1, 2004
If your publication, radio or television station offers
a calendar of community events, you may want to include news
of the following workshop.
The California Energy Commission staff will conduct a
data request and issue resolution workshop for the proposed
Blythe Energy Transmission Line Amendment on:
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2004
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
California Energy Commission
Hearing Room B
1516 Ninth Street
Sacramento, California
(Wheelchair Accessible)
This workshop will provide the staffs of the Energy
Commission, the Western Area Power Administration, and the
Bureau of Land Management an opportunity to address comments
and questions from the public, the applicant, intervenors,
and other interested parties. The focus will be on the
recent data requests issued by the Energy Commission staff
and the Western Area Power Administration.
Blythe Energy, LLC, is proposing to build two
transmission lines and a substation in Riverside County. The
proposed facilities would allow the entire 520 megawatt
output of the Blythe Energy power plant to be transmitted
into the Southern California electrical grid.
Members of the public and other interested agencies are
invited to participate and provide comments. Those who wish
further information about how to participate should contact
the Commissions Public Adviser, Margret J. Kim, at (916)
654-4489, toll free in California at (800) 822-6228, or by
email at:
pao@energy.state.ca.us
The Commissions website contains current information on the proposed project at:
