The California Energy Commission staff, with the Western Area Power Administration and the Bureau of Land Management, will conduct a two-day workshop to discuss the Preliminary Staff Assessment for the Blythe Energy Transmission Line Amendment on:

This workshop will provide the Energy Commission staff, the Western Area Power Administration and the Bureau of Land Management the opportunity to receive comments from the applicant, the public, and interested agencies on the Preliminary Staff Assessment published on January 24, 2005. The comments will be considered in drafting the Final Staff Assessment.
Blythe Energy, LLC, is proposing to build two transmission lines and a substation in Riverside County. The proposed facilities would allow the entire 520 megawatt output of the Blythe Energy power plant to be transmitted into the Southern California electrical grid.
