The California Energy Commission will conduct a workshop to discuss the staffs proposed conditions of certification for phase two of the Los Esteros Critical Energy Facility project on:

This workshop will provide the Energy Commission staff the opportunity to receive comments from the applicant, members of the public and other agencies on the conditions of certification proposed in the Preliminary Staff Assessment for the Los Esteros Critical Energy Facility Phase Two project.
The Los Esteros Critical Energy Facility is a 180-megawatt, natural gas-fired power plant consisting of four simple-cycle combustion turbine generators in North San Jose on the north side of State Route 237. In addition to recertification of the existing power plant, this Phase II Application for Certification also seeks a license to convert the facility to combined-cycle operation, capable of producing 320 megawatts.
