Energy Commission Chair Weisenmiller, Fresno Mayor Swearengin, PG&E to Highlight Successful Program Providing Free Home Energy Assessments
What: California Energy Commission Chair Robert Weisenmiller, Mayor Ashley Swearengin, and Robert Carlson from PG&E will discuss the partnership that has led to the success of the Home Energy Tune-Up Program and encourage homeowners in the Fresno area to sign up for free home energy assessments. The Energy Commission provided initial funding of $2.9 million, through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, for the program.
The Home Energy Tune-Up educates homeowners about energy savings opportunities in their homes through free home energy assessments for residents of Fresno and Madera counties. More than 2,500 homes have received free assessments.
