Blythe Energy Project



Purpose:The staff of the Energy Commission and Western Area Power Administration (Western) will hold a workshop for Blythe Energy Project (BEP) representatives, interested agencies, and the public, to discuss staff data requests related to the Application for Certification process. The data requests to be discussed will include air quality and water resources. This will be a conference call workshop. To be connected to the call, please dial toll free (888) 592-9604. Project Summary:Blythe Energy LLC has proposed a 520 megawatt natural gas-fired electric generating facility. The proposed project site is located approximately five miles west of the City center of Blythe on Hobsonway near the airport.
