On May 25, 2000, the Committee issued a Scheduling Order that is based on a twelve-month certification review period. The Scheduling Order stated that the Committee would conduct a Status Conference on September 22, 2000. That Order also provided that several deadlines were contingent on reviews by others and that the schedule might require modification based on the timing of those reviews.
The Order directed the filing of monthly status reports by the parties. Staff and Applicant have filed periodic Status Reports. These Status Reports indicate that the Final Staff Assessment (FSA) will be complete before the end of October, when it is due to be released, and that several other events are pending.
Purpose of the Status Conference
This Status Conference provides a public forum allowing the Applicant, Commission staff, interested parties, governmental agencies, and members of the public to indicate whether case development is progressing satisfactorily, and to bring potential schedule delays or other relevant matters to the Committee's attention. Applicant, Staff and other parties will also discuss proposed schedules and possible procedural or other issues that may be significant during this proceeding.
III. PROPOSED SCHEDULES AND ISSUE STATEMENTS
In order to assist the participants, Applicant and Staff shall, and other parties may, serve and file proposed changes and/or additions to the schedule for the certification review and an Issue Identification Report summarizing the potential major issues in this case, to be received by the Committee no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2000. Identify all filings with "Docket No. 99-AFC-8."
