|TSE - Information Exchange/Workshop|
A Transmission System Engineering (TSE) Information Exchange/Workshop will be held for the proposed Blythe Energy Project Phase II (BEP II). The purpose is to build a consensus among the affected transmission owners, California Energy Commission staff, Western and the Cal-ISO in preparation for system modeling of 2005 summer peak and light spring base cases. The results will be used to prepare a System Impact Study Plan.

The proposed project is located in the City of Blythe, next to the Blythe Energy Project I that was approved by the Energy Commission and is currently under construction. If approved, the BEP II will be a nominally rated 520-megawatt, combined-cycle power plant.
|Data Response Workshop:||
The Energy Commission also has scheduled a Data Response Workshop on November 6, 2002, in the City of Blythe to discuss the proposed project with the Blythe community. The workshop will begin at 1:30 p.m. and continue to no later than 9:00 p.m., at the Blythe City Hall. At the Data Response workshop staff will summarize the outcome of the TSE Information Exchange held on November 5, 2002, in addition to discussing the Data Responses received from the Applicant. At the workshop, members of the general public, landowners, and representatives of other governmental agencies will have an opportunity to obtain information and offer comments on the project.
The public is encouraged to participate and provide comments as early in our process as possible.
