DATA RESPONSE & ISSUE RESOLUTION WORKSHOP

Purpose:
|
The California Energy Commission staff will
hold a Data Response and Issue Resolution Workshop for
the proposed Blythe Energy Project Phase II so that the
Applicant's representatives, interested agencies, and
the public can discuss the response to Data Requests provided
by the applicant on October 2, 2002. Subjects to be discussed
may include: Air Quality, Biology, Cultural Resources,
Land Use, Noise, Soil and Water Resources, Transmission
System Engineering, Visual Resources, and Waste. If you
have questions in a particular technical area, please
contact Bill Pfanner, Project Manager, identified below,
five days in advance of the meeting date so that appropriate
technical staff can plan to attend.

Project Summary:
|
On July 17, 2002, the Energy Commission deemed the Blythe Energy Project Phase II (BEP II), Application for Certification (AFC) data adequate. Which began the Energy Commission's review process. The proposed project is located in the City of Blythe, next to the Blythe Energy Project I that was approved by the Energy Commission and currently under construction. If approved, the BEP II will be a nominally rated 520-megawatt combined-cycle power plant.
