The High Desert Power Project, Limited Liability Company (LLC) is proposing to construct and operate a 680 to 830 MW natural gas fueled electricity generation power plant. The proposed project is to be located in the northeast corner of the Southern California International Airport (formerly George Air Force Base), in the city of Victorville, in San Bernardino County, California. The power plant and related facilities, such as the electric transmission line, natural gas pipeline and water lines, are under the California Energy Commission's (Energy Commission) siting authority.

The District is tentatively scheduled to publish a Final DOC on July 20, 1998. Staff will publish a revised PSA on July 31, 1998 and will conduct additional workshops on the findings and recommendations reached in both of these documents.
