PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Prehearing Conference previously scheduled on March 11, 2002, has been POSTPONED upon Applicant's request.1 The Prehearing Conference will be rescheduled by separate notice.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that instead of the Prehearing Conference on March 11, 2002, the Committee will conduct a Scheduling Conference as follows:
MONDAY, MARCH 11, 2002
Beginning at 2 p.m.

Conference Leader: Susan Gefter
At the Scheduling Conference, the parties shall discuss issues related to Applicant's wastewater discharge plan and the status of its application for a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit from the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board. The parties shall also present their respective positions on whether Applicant is required to submit a draft revised NPDES permit prior to conclusion of the certification process. In addition, the parties shall identify any other substantive issues that remain disputed and indicate whether the disputes can be resolved prior to evidentiary hearings.
Applicant previously agreed that the six-month schedule would be extended to provide time for submittal of necessary information on wastewater discharge and other technical areas. Specifically, the Air District's Final Determination of Compliance (FDOC) is not expected to be available until March 8, 2002, about two months later than originally indicated. Thus, the schedule has slipped commensurately. The parties shall discuss these scheduling concerns and provide revised scheduling proposals for the remainder of the proceeding.
To assist the Committee in reviewing the concerns identified in Applicant's Request for Committee Scheduling Conference, the parties shall serve and file briefs on the NPDES permit issues no later than 5 p.m. on March 6, 2002. The parties shall also serve and file their revised scheduling proposals on March 6, 2002, and identify any other disputed issues that require more time for resolution prior to evidentiary hearings.
