The Committee of the Commission, having considered the Petition to Intervene before it, finds:

1. On July 2, 1999, a Petition to Intervene in the above-captioned proceeding was filed by the following:

   California Unions for Reliable Energy (CURE)
   Marc D. Joseph
   Lizanne Reynolds
   Adams Broadwell Joseph & Cardozo
   651 Gateway Boulevard, Suite 900
   South San Francisco, CA 94080
   

2. The Petition was timely filed and contains the information required by Section 1207 of the Commission's regulations (Cal. Code of Regs., tit. 20, sec. 1207);

3. The Applicant has filed no opposition to said Petition; and

4. Said Petitioner's interests are relevant to the above-captioned proceeding.

THEREFORE, the Committee ORDERS that the Petition to Intervene in this matter be GRANTED and that the Petitioner be placed upon the Proof of Service List as provided by Section 1712(b) of our regulations. Staff shall ensure that the Petitioner is immediately provided with a copy of the Application for Certification document. The Petitioner may exercise the rights and shall fulfill the obligations of a party as set forth in Title 20, California Code of Regulations, section 1712.
