I. NOTICE OF COMMITTEE STATUS CONFERENCE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Committee will conduct a Committee Status Conference as follows:

Members of the public and interested agencies are invited to participate at this event. The California Energy Commission's Public Adviser, Roberta Mendonca, will be present to assist interested individuals or organizations and to provide information on participating in the Commission's certification process. I. NOTICE OF COMMITTEE STATUS CONFERENCE

On July 11, 2001, the Committee revised the original case schedule and required the parties to file status reports on July 18, 2001. Based on the status reports, it is clear that information required to complete the Final Staff Assessment (FSA) has not yet been provided to parties. Such information includes the draft National Pollution Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit, Applicant's biological assessment, and other data to be provided by the Applicant.


Purpose of the Status Conference

This Status Conference provides a public forum allowing the Applicant, Commission staff, interested parties, governmental agencies, and members of the public to indicate whether case development is progressing satisfactorily, and to bring potential schedule delays or other relevant matters to the Committee's attention. Applicant, Staff, other parties, and agencies should be prepared to indicate when specific information, such as the items noted in the paragraph above, will be provided.
