NOTICE OF RECEIPT
PETITION TO CHANGE OWNERSHIP of the
MOSS LANDING POWER PROJECT (99-AFC-4C)
On July 5, 2006, the California Energy Commission received a petition from LS Power Generation, LLC requesting approval to transfer the ownership and operational control of the Moss Landing Power Project, from Duke Energy Moss Landing, LLC to LSP Moss Landing, LLC.
The1,060-megawatt project was certified on October 25, 2000, and began commercial operation on July 1, 2002. The facility is located in the town of Moss Landing, in Monterey County.
ENERGY COMMISSION REVIEW PROCEDURES
A statement describing the change in ownership, signed under penalty of perjury by a representative of the proposed new owner of the project, was submitted to the Energy Commission staff for review and approval as required by Title 20, California Code of Regulations, section 1769(b). The statement affirms that the new owner agrees to be bound by the requirements of the Energy Commission's Decision for the Project and understands the obligations imposed by the Conditions of Certification. Based on the information provided, staff intends to recommend the proposed change be approved by the Energy Commission at the December 13, 2006 business meeting.
The petition to change ownership is available on the Energy Commission's website at www.energy.ca.gov/sitingcases/mosslanding/index.html.. The order if approved will also be posted on the website.
