Data Response Workshop
Mountainview Power Plant Project

Purpose: The staff of the Energy Commission will hold a workshop for Mountainview Power Plant Project (MVPP) representatives, interested agencies, and the public, to discuss data responses from the applicant related to the Application for Certification process. Data response areas will include, but not be limited to: Air Quality; Biological Resources; Cultural Resources; Environmental Justice; Geology & Paleontology; Land Use; Noise; Power Plant Efficiency; Traffic & Transportation; Visual Resources; and Soil and Water Resources. The second day of the workshop will be limited to Water Resource issues. The applicant has also requested time to discuss issues surrounding inland water policy and the project's proposed water usage. A site visit will be conducted between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM on the first workshop day to allow Commission staff, agencies and the public to more closely examine the proposed development.

Project Summary: The Mountainview Power Plant Project is a proposed 1056 megawatt natural gas-fired electric generating facility. The applicant intends to locate the project on an existing 16.3-acre power plant site at the northeast corner of San Bernardino Avenue and Mountain View Avenue, in an unincorporated section of San Bernardino County.
