Notice of Site Visit & Workshop Pastoria Energy Facility Project
Purpose: The staff of the Energy Commission and Pastoria Energy Facility Project representatives will be visiting the Pastoria site and will have a workshop in Sacramento to discuss the proposed Pastoria Energy Facility Project (99-AFC-7). During the site visit (Day 1) staff from Pastoria Energy Facility Project, Tejon Ranch and local agencies will share knowledge of the proposed site. During the workshop (Day 2) Pastoria Energy Facility Project will present a project overview and address questions. The purpose of these two events is to learn about the site and to discuss potential issues.

Project Summary: The Pastoria Energy Facility Project is a proposed 750 megawatt natural gas fired electric generating facility project. The proposed project is located on Tejon Ranch 30 miles south of Bakersfield, and 6.5 miles east of Interstate 5 at the base of the Tehachapi Mountains.
