The California Energy Commission received a petition from Alliance Colton, LLC requesting approval to transfer operation of the Alliance Drews Energy Facility (01-EP-5C) from Alliance Colton, LLC to PurEnergy Operating Services, LLC. PurEnergy Operating Services, LLC manages and/or operates generation facilities in California, New York, New Jersey, and Hawaii.
Ownership and the obligations imposed by the conditions of certification of the Alliance Drews Energy Facility will remain with Alliance Colton, LLC. Alliance Colton, LLC is wholly-owned by Colton Power, LP.
The 40-megawatt project was certified on April 6, 2001, and began commercial operation on August 10, 2001. The facility is located in the City of Colton, in San Bernardino County.
COMMISSION REVIEW PROCEDURES
A statement describing the change in operator, signed under penalty of perjury by a representative of the proposed new operator of the project, was submitted to the Energy Commission staff for review and approval as required by Title 20, California Code of Regulations, section 1769(b). The statement affirms that the new operator understands the conditions of certification and agrees to comply with the requirements of the Energy Commission's Decision for the Alliance Drews Energy Facility. Based on the information provided, staff intends to recommend that the proposed change in operator be approved by the Energy Commission at the November 17, 2004 Business Meeting.
