NOTICE OF RECEIPT
REQUEST TO AMEND THE ENERGY COMMISSION DECISION
GILROY CITY LM 6000 PHASE 1 PROJECT (01-EP-08)
On September 13, 2001, the California Energy Commission (Commission) received a request to amend the Commission Decision for the Gilroy City LM 6000 Phase 1 Project. The 135 MW Emergency Peaking Facility was certified in May of 2001, and will commence commercial operation by September 30, 2001. The proposed modification will provide for the installation of 1.7 miles of 16-inch natural gas line within the rights-of-way of Highway 152 and Frazier Lake Road to reinforce the projects gas supply. This reinforcement extends from near the intersection of Highway 152 and Holsclaw Road southeast along Frazier Lake Road.
ENERGY COMMISSION REVIEW PROCEDURES
The purpose of the Commission's review process is to assess the impacts of this proposal on environmental quality, public health and safety. The review process includes a determination as to whether the project, as changed, will remain in compliance with applicable laws, ordinances, regulations, and standards (Title 20, California Code of Regulations, Section 1769). Commission staff are currently analyzing the request and will publish an analysis in the next few weeks.
This Notice of Receipt is being posted on the Energy Commission Website and electronically mailed to the project mailing list, and mailed to property owners within 500 feet of the proposed line who may want to participate in the amendment process.
