Notice Of Mandatory Status Conference

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Committee designated by the Energy Commission to conduct proceedings on the Application for Certification (AFC) for the RICE SOLAR ENERGY POWER PROJECT has scheduled a Mandatory Status Conference to take place as follows:

You may participate in the Prehearing Conference and Evidentiary Hearing by telephone and/or by computer via our "WebEx" web conferencing system. For details on how to participate, please see the "Participation through WebEx" section at the end of this Notice.

Purpose of the Status Conference

This Status Conference is sponsored by the Energy Commission to inform the Committee, the parties, and the community about the project's progress to date in the AFC process.

Conference Participation

The Committee directs each party to participate and be represented by an agent with authority to bind and make decisions on the party's behalf. The Committee also invites the attendance of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and Western Area Power Administration.

Public Participation

Based on the current Committee Scheduling Order, which specifies September 8 and 9, 2010, as the prehearing conference and hearing dates for this proceeding, the last day to file a petition to intervene is August 9, 2010.
