Purposes: The purpose of the workshop is to review the applicant's responses to Data Requests issued by Commission staff in the Riverside Energy Resource Center Small Power Plant Exemption application proceeding and to work toward resolving potential issues. The areas to be reviewed include air quality, biological resources, cultural resources, energy resources, land use, traffic and transportation, water resources, visual resources, and waste management.

Project Summary: Riverside Public Utilities proposes to build and operate a nominal 96 MW simple-cycle power plant on a 12-acre fenced site within the City of Riverside, California. Riverside Public Utilities would develop, build, own and operate the facility. The proposed site is owned by the City of Riverside and is adjacent to the City's Waste Water Treatment Plant. The 96-megawatt natural gas-fired simple cycle plant would consist of two General Electric LM 6000 SPRINT combustion turbines. The proposed project would include the construction of approximately 1.75 miles of new double circuit 69kV transmission line. All transmission line construction would occur in an existing city-owned transmission line right-of-way.
