OF THE PROPOSED SMALL POWER PLANT EXEMPTION DECISION AND
NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION
AND NOTICE OF COMMISSION HEARING
I. NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY
On January 28, 2009, the Committee issued the Proposed Decision and Notice of Intent to Adopt a Mitigated Negative Declaration (Proposed Decision) for the Riverside Energy Resources Center Units 3 & 4. Copies of this document were sent to the Proof of Service List and are also available from the Energy Commission's Publications Unit, 1516 Ninth Street, MS-13, Sacramento, CA 95814. The purpose of this hearing is to consider whether the Energy Commission should adopt, modify, or reject the Proposed Decision. Members of the public are invited to participate and offer their comments.
Formal parties may also file written comments on the Proposed Decision. The parties' comments shall be served and filed no later than 12 noon on Monday, February 9, 2009. The comments shall also be sent by email to the parties and to the Hearing Officer.

Members of the public may participate in all aspects of the review process in a variety of ways. The Commission's Public Adviser, Elena Miller, is available to assist the public in participating in the exemption process.
