| Purpose: | Energy Commission staff has issued data requests to the applicant, Calpine Bechtel Joint Development. The focus of the workshop will be the applicant's responses to these data requests. The key subjects will be air quality, biological resources, cultural resources, land use, noise, reliability, socioeconomics (including environmental justice), soil and water resources, traffic, and visual resources. Agencies, interested parties, and the public are invited to attend and participate. |

| Project Summary: | Calpine Bechtel Joint Development proposes to construct and operate a 600-MW, natural gas-fired, combined-cycle power plant. The proposed site is located in the Industrial Corridor of the City of Hayward in Alameda County at the intersection of Enterprise and Whitesell Streets. |
