Purpose: The staff of the California Energy Commission will hold a workshop for the proposed Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) Cosumnes Power Plant Project. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss SMUD's data responses and outstanding issues. Discussion topics are listed below.

Project Summary: SMUD proposes to develop the Cosumnes Power Plant Project, a 1,000-megawatt (two phases, each consisting of 500 megawatts), natural gas-fired, combined cycle power plant near the decommissioned Rancho Seco Nuclear Plant, 25 miles southeast of the City of Sacramento, in Sacramento County. The project would be located on a 30-acre portion of an overall 2,480-acre site owned by SMUD.
