PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that, the Committee designated by the Energy Commission to conduct proceedings on the Application for Certification (AFC) for the above-mentioned SOLAR TWO POWER PROJECT has scheduled a Committee Conference as follows:

The purpose of the Conference is review the schedule for this AFC, specifically how to most effectively and efficiently conduct our evidentiary hearings, and any other matters relevant to the AFC. In addition to the formal parties, we invite the attendance of the Energy Commission's federal agency partners from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). We will consider the most recent Status Reports filed by the parties. We direct the parties to review the "Renewable Energy Action Team Milestones to Permit California Renewable Portfolio Standard Energy Projects by December, 2010," specifically its Attachment A1, and submit comments regarding the suitability of applying the basic concepts contained there, such as the timing of Committee hearings relative to the BLM's review of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement, to this case. Those comments, along with any other issues that the parties wish to raise, shall be filed and served no later than 12:00 noon on November 5, 2009.
Following the Committee Conference, the Committee will issue a revised schedule for the proceeding and other appropriate orders.
