NOTICE OF HEARING ON
MOTION TO COMPEL
In response to a Motion to Compel filed on July 26, 1999, by California Unions for Reliable Energy (CURE), and pursuant to Title 20, California Code of Regulation section 1716(f), the Committee for this proceeding will conduct a hearing to receive argument on CURE's Motion to Compel as follows:

On March 9, 1999, CURE served its first set of data requests on the Applicant, Sunrise. On March 24, 1999, Sunrise filed "Objections and Notice of Need for Additional Time to Respond," refusing to respond to some of CURE's data requests. On June 4, 1999, CURE served its second set of data requests on Sunrise. On June 21, 1999, Applicant served its "Objections and Notice of Inability to Respond" to many of CURE's second set of data requests.
On July 26, 1999 CURE submitted its Motion to Compel Production of Information pursuant to section 1716(f) of Commission regulations. CURE now requests that the Committee issue an order directing Sunrise to provide the information requested by CURE in its Motion on pages 9 through 67, and labeled "Unanswered Data Requests."
Any party in this case may respond in writing to CURE's Motion. Such responses must be filed in the Commission's Docket Unit and served on all parties no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 1999.
