Sutter Power Project - 97-AFC-2C
Petition to Transfer Ownership

The California Energy Commission has received a petition from Calpine Corporation requesting approval to transfer ownership of the Sutter Power Project (Docket No. 97-AFC-2C), and the obligations imposed by the conditions of certification, to Calpine Construction Financing Company, L.P, a wholly-owner subsidiary of Calpine Corporation.


Commission Review Procedures

A statement describing the ownership change, signed under penalty of perjury by a representative of the proposed new owner of the project, was submitted to the Energy Commission staff for review and approval as required by Title 20, California Code of Regulations, section 1769(b). The statement affirms that the new owner agrees to be bound by the requirements of the Energy Commission Decision for the Sutter Power Project.

Based on the information provided, staff intends to recommend that the proposed ownership change be approved by the Energy Commission at the April 25, 2000 business meeting.
