| Purpose: |
On December 28, 2001, the staff of the California Energy Commission (Energy Commission) filed its draft analysis of the Tracy Peaker Project (TPP) Application for Certification. The staff's draft analysis, known as the Staff Assessment (SA), is available on our web site at http://www.energy.ca.gov/sitingcases/tracypeaker; or you may call Cheri Davis, the project manager, (see below) to have it mailed to you. The purpose of the workshop is to receive comments on staff's technical analysis from the Applicant, members of the public, Intervenors in the proceeding, and local, State and federal agencies. Topics to be discussed include Air Quality, Biology, Hazardous Materials, Noise, Public Health, and Visual Resources. |

| Project Summary: | GWF Energy, LLC has applied to the Energy Commission for certification to construct and operate a nominal 169 megawatt (MW) natural gas-fired simplecycle power plant known as the Tracy Peaker Project (TPP). The site proposed for this power plant lies within a 40-acre parcel of land in unincorporated San Joaquin County, immediately southwest of the City of Tracy and approximately 20 miles southwest of Stockton. | |

Staff encourages workshop participants and other interested members of the public to make oral comments at the workshop and/or submit any written comments related to the Staff Assessment by January 10, 2002. Written comments may be submitted on the attached Comment Form and mailed to the Energy Commission's Project Manager, Cheri Davis at:
