Notice of Second Continuation of the
Biological Resources Mitigation Workshop #1 by Teleconference
Victorville 2 Hybrid Power Project (07-AFC-1)
The California Energy Commission staff will continue for a second time the two-day workshop initially conducted on April 28, 29, 2008 in Victorville and previously extended by toll-free teleconference on May 5, 2008. The workshop is to discuss the proposed Conditions of Certification BIO-12 and BIO-18, contained in the Biological Resources section of the Final Staff Assessment (FSA) for the proposed Victorville 2 Hybrid Power Project. These conditions pertain to conserving habitat for and protecting special-status animal species including the desert tortoise, Mohave ground squirrel and burrowing owl. The workshop is intended to provide an opportunity for the applicant to develop the required mitigation plans in consultation with staff, the California Department of Fish and Game, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and technical advisors. All interested agencies, parties and members of the public are invited to participate. The second continuation of the workshop will be conducted by toll-free teleconference on:
