2001 Energy Efficiency Standards
For Residential and Nonresidential Buildings

The 2001 Standards were developed and adopted by the Energy Commission as mandaed by Assembly Bill 970 to reduce California's electricity demand. These standards went into effect June 1, 2001.

The 2001 Standards may be downloaded below, or printed copies of are available from the Energy Commission's Title 24 Office by calling 800-772-3300 (toll free in California) or 916-654-5106 (outside California).

Copies of the Title 24 Compliance Forms for both residential and nonresidential construction and the residential and nonresidential manuals are also available via links to the left.

* Note: Title 24, Part 6 refers only to Part 6 of the California Building Standards Administrative Code, which deals only with efficiency standards for residential and nonresidential buildings. The other parts of Title 24 do not deal with efficiency standards. For example: Part 3 deals with California Electrical Code.
