Welcome to the California Energy Commission's website. Electronic information is vital to our state's economic development and understanding of our changing world. That's why we created this website back in December 1994. That may seem like only a short time ago. Yet, it was the same time the first commercial version of a web browser, Netscape Version 1.0, was released.

Our staff is working daily to update and improve our websites to bring you the latest information about the Commission, its proceeedings and programs.
