NOTICE OF STAFF WORKSHOP

California Energy Commission and Department of Fish and Game staff will conduct a two-day workshop to seek public input on the draft Statewide Guidelines for Reducing Impacts to Birds and Bats from Wind Energy Development (Guidelines).
The workshop will provide a forum for discussion of the draft Guidelines. We encourage interested parties to present their views either in writing or orally at the workshop. A workshop agenda will be provided approximately one week prior to the workshop.

Reserved parking for the workshop will be available in Lot #13. An attendant selling parking passes will be in Lot #13 one hour before and after the start of the workshop. Alternatively, parking passes may be purchased at the Information Kiosks.
Written comments on the workshop topics may be submitted prior to or after the workshop, but no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 23, 2007. Please include the docket number 06-OII-1 and indicate "Developing Statewide Avian Guidelines"in the subject line of your comments. Please hand deliver or mail an original plus 12 paper copies to:
