Purpose

The purpose of this solicitation is to fund the testing and demonstration of innovative waste heat recovery systems that are replicable and scalable in various industries to reduce natural gas use and greenhouse gas emissions. The intent is to increase adoption rates of cutting-edge waste heat recovery technology. Projects must meet the following objectives: 

  • Must advance existing technologies
  • Be capable of enhanced marketability at different industries
  • Be scalable and replicable to multiple types of applications
  • Potential to achieve a simple payback of 5 years or less
  • Must currently be at Technology Readiness Level between 5-8

Application Submission Deadlines

  • Phase 1 - February 4, 2020
  • Phase 2 - March 13, 2020

Addendum 3 - The purpose of this addendum is to provide another opportunity for applicants to apply for this solicitation. Phase 2 funding will be based on funds remaining from Phase 1. The purpose of Phase 2 is to allow for new proposal submissions and resubmissions in order to fund additional projects. (See Solicitation Files)
Addendum 4 - The purpose of this addendum is to extend the application due date from March 13, 2020, to March 20, 2020, and to eliminate the submission of the site commitment letters with the application. However, the demonstration sites must still be identified in Attachment 1, Application form. (See Solicitation Files)
