The California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a hybrid in-person and remote-access hearing led by the CEC’s lead Commissioner for energy efficiency, Commissioner J. Andrew McAllister.

The CEC will hold a public hearing for the purpose of hearing comments on the proposed standards at the date and time listed. Interested persons, or their authorized representative, may present oral and written statements, arguments, or contentions relevant to the proposed standards at the public hearing.

The state’s Building Energy Efficiency Standards have saved Californians billions of dollars in reduced electricity bills. They conserve nonrenewable resources, such as natural gas, and ensure renewable resources are extended as far as possible so power plants do not need to be built.
