Add to CalendarIntroduction
The California Energy Commission (CEC) proposes to adopt amendments to its procedures related to business meetings and requests for rulemakings contained in the California Code of Regulations (CCR), title 20, sections 1102, 1105, and 1221.
The purpose of this rulemaking is to: (1) allow the CEC to conduct business meetings as necessary, (2) remove the requirement for the CEC to take minutes and clarify that the transcript and decisions, orders, and resolutions approved in meetings shall be the original evidence of actions taken at any meeting, and (3) ensure that the CEC has sufficient information to evaluate petitions for rulemakings and increase the time for the executive director to respond to a petition for rulemaking from seven to 14 days.
The CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. The hearing may end sooner or later than the posted end time.
Public Hearing
The CEC will hold a public hearing on the proposed regulations at the date and time listed. During the hearing CEC staff will present the proposed rulemaking changes and seek public feedback. Interested persons, or their authorized representative, may present comments, statements, arguments, or contentions relevant to the proposed regulations at the public hearing. Comments at the public hearing may be limited to three minutes or less.
