Staff Workshop on Resource Adequacy Qualifying Capacity of Supply-Side Demand Response

The California Energy Commission (CEC) staff will host a remote-access workshop to launch a stakeholder working group process on demand response as requested by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) in Decision 21-06-029 (Rulemaking 19-09-001). The CPUC decision requested that the CEC launch a stakeholder working group process to develop recommendations for a demand response qualifying capacity methodology for implementation in the 2023 resource adequacy compliance year, and to submit those recommendations to the CPUC no later than March 18, 2022.

A quorum of commissioners may participate, but no votes will be taken.

The workshop will be held remotely, consistent with Executive Order N-08-21 to continue to help California respond to, recover from, and mitigate the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The public can participate in the workshop consistent with the direction in these executive orders.
