Session 1 - Lead Commissioner Workshop to Launch Distributed Energy Resources in California’s Energy Future Proceeding

The California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a workshop to provide an overview of the Order Instituting Informational Proceeding and its timeline, clarify its relationship to distributed energy resources (DER) proceedings of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and initiatives of the California Independent System Operator (CAISO), and solicit stakeholder feedback on challenges and opportunities to expand DER in the state. A quorum of commissioners may participate, but no votes will be taken.

The workshop will be held remotely and in person. The public can participate in the workshop consistent with the direction provided below. The CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted and the end time is an estimate based on the agenda proposed. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time depending on various factors.
