Staff Workshop on Food Production Investment Program

The California Energy Commission (CEC) will host a remote-access workshop to discuss the implementation of the Food Production Investment Program (FPIP) funded under Assembly Bill (AB) 209 (The Energy and Climate Change Budget Bill, Chapter 251, enacted in September 2022). This funding will provide grants to California food processors to accelerate the adoption of advanced energy and decarbonization technologies that enable the state to meet its greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction goals and support electrical grid reliability. CEC staff will consider stakeholder and public input on the proposed program scope, future competitive solicitations, and project eligibility, requirements, and considerations.

The workshop will be held remotely. The public can participate in the workshop consistent with the attendance instructions below. The CEC aims to begin promptly at the start time posted and the end time is an estimate based on the proposed agenda. The workshop may end sooner or later than the posted end time.
